Our sympathies to a party member and prominent Montreal entrepreneur

November 04, 2025

It is with deep emotion that the political party Fòs Chanjman Nasyonal (FCN) learned of the death of Mrs. Marie-Cemanie Pierre Belleus, mother of Peterson Pierre, better known as Phat House or Phat Grill, an emblematic figure of Haitian entrepreneurship in Montreal.

A member of the party and the Montreal branch of the Departmental Coordination of the Diaspora, Peterson has established himself over the years as a dynamic and visionary entrepreneur deeply committed to promoting Haitian culture in Canada. Through his businesses, he has created spaces for sharing, gastronomy, and conviviality that bring the community together around Haitian identity.

Today, an entire community shares his sorrow and expresses solidarity and affection for him in this painful ordeal.

The loss of a mother is a wound that never fully heals the one who gave us life, values, and the strength to move forward. Mrs. Marie-Cemanie Pierre Belleus leaves behind the memory of a woman of faith, dignity, and hard work, whose example will continue to inspire those who knew her.

The funeral will take place in Port-au-Prince, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Pax Villa Funeral Home (Airport Area).

A memorial service will be held in Ottawa on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Eben-Ezer Evangelical Baptist Church, 150 Donald Street.

The Fòs Chanjman Nasyonal political party presents its most sincere condolences to Peterson Pierre (Phat House / Phat Grill), his family and loved ones.

May the memory of her mother remain a flame of courage, light, and inspiration.
