Fòs Chanjman Nasyonal offers a double interpretation of this absurd episode, revealing the degree of decay and moral decomposition into which the Haitian political class has allowed itself to be drawn in recent decades, and more particularly since the beginning of this chaotic transition born from the ignoble assassination of President Jovenel Moïse.
From the moment that infamous tweet announced the appointment of a "new Prime Minister," the Republic was no longer free, no longer sovereign. This act constituted the first clear signal that external forces were presuming to dictate, without restraint, Haiti's institutional future.
Then came the unspeakable: the blocking of a Prime Minister prevented from returning to his own country. A national humiliation. And yet, part of the political class applauded.
This complacency, this voluntary docility, this almost claimed submission have opened the door to what we are seeing today: the public stance taken by two foreign embassies, which is nothing other than the logical consequence of years of dependence, subjugation and renunciation of the higher interest of the Nation.
In this sequence, there is neither surprise nor sincere indignation to be expected from those who, for a long time, have traded their legitimacy for the protection of so-called "friendly" powers.
The crocodile tears being shed now fool no one. They only exacerbate the anger of a people desperately seeking women and men capable of offering a genuine alternative, a sovereign, responsible path centered on the national interest.
Haiti can no longer be governed by proxy, nor tolerate its destiny being dictated by external actors, nor accept that those who have betrayed the people's trust now present themselves as victims.
The stick that beats the black dog is the same as the stick that beats the white dog.
Those who applauded yesterday's interference cannot condemn today's.
Fòs Chanjman Nasyonal reaffirms its determination to carry the voice of an authentic break, based on sovereignty, national dignity and the political renewal expected by the silent majority of the country.
